On February 10, 2020 through March 11, 2020, a Sanitary Sewer Overflow occurred at the corner of Hwy 78W and Hale Street (south) due to excessive rains and flooding. The upstream manholes stayed under water during the flooding events. Once area is dry, Oxford will video lines and perform repairs that are needed.
On February 20, 2020 through March 11, 2020, a Sanitary Sewer Overflow occurred in the field near Oxford Lake due to the excessive rains and flooding. The area is flooded, and Oxford is unable to access. Oxford will be adding pumps to the Friendship screw lift chamber to keep water from backing up and redirecting Elm Street Lift Station around the screw lift to eliminate flow to the station. Once work is complete and area is dry, Oxford will video lines and perform any additional repairs that are needed.
On April 1, 2020, a Sanitary Sewer Overflow occurred in a field near Friendship Road due to a manhole on the main trunk line that was damaged. Manhole was fixed and area was cleaned and disinfected.
